This is an antique gold, antique replica, of a very rare St. Michael the Archangel medal that was made in France with words in Latin. I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share with you.
The medal is available by itself, on a cable chain or on an adjustable suede leather lace.
The front of the medal has Latin "Michael pugnavit cum dragon et fecit victoriam" which means "Michael fought with the dragon and prevailed".
The back of the medal has Latin "Quis ut deus" which means "Who to God".
A gorgeous, unique piece with the sides a bit thicker than the middle of the medal which gives it beautiful depth. It measures just under 1 inch diameter.
For the suede lace option, camel brown 3mm suede leather is adjustable up to 26 inches long. The antique gold, antique replica, slider bead allows the leather to be worn as a shorter length. If you would prefer a longer leather lace, please let me know.
For the chain option, this medal dangles on a 20 inch long oxidized 2x3 mm cable chain with a lobster clasp closure. Please contact me if you would prefer a different length chain.
This fine replica piece is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing. Excessive skin oils may darken the backside of the medal so a polishing cloth is included. Since this is solid gold bronze, the medal will return to its original color if polishing is necessary.
Prayer to St. Michael:
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
